The St Paul’s Bristol carnival, hailed as ‘the biggest street party in Bristol’, had returned in 2018 after a lengthy absence. However, with the carnival set for this Saturday 6th July, it is already marred with issues in regards to funding. Vital funds are still needed to host this year’s carnival, which will have a major impact on the funds for next year.
Despite this, the carnival is set to be a spectacular affair, with the band parade, live stage performances, and sound systems.
Carnival is free and supporting your local carnivals is vital to its continued success and enhancing the local communities.
Marti Burgess from CIC stated,
“the key thing is we’re asking for a little as £5 and everyone says they love carnival, but people don’t want to put their hands in their pockets”
So please show your support and make a donation. Details found here.
